This past weekend was our last weekend at the Ohio Ren Fest - we had an awesome time but I think everyone is ready for a break.

This year, FinTan played 3 weekends at the Ohio Rennaissance Festival. We had a great time as always, made a bunch of new fans and made some new friends. We were very lucky to have gorgeous weather all three weekends and great crowds despite power outages and wind storms. Finishing off the Ren Fest is always a little bitter sweet as we get into a groove and before we know it we're done and moving on into the fall. Playing live for such great audiences is what makes it fun to be in a band and hanging out with friends and fellow performers makes it that much nicer.

Things slow down for a bit (thank goodness) and we're playing one more gig this month (a private party). We're back at Molly Malone's on Montgomery Road on Saturday Nov 8 for our last show of the year there. Then we take a break for the holiday and head out for a road trip to Fionn MacCool's and on to O'Bryan's 9 Irish Brothers the first weekend of December. These will be out last two shows of 2008. After that its off to Ireland with friends and fans January 10th.

We'll start working up our calendar for 2009 and booking gigs starting in late February. March will be busy as always with travelling gigs and St Paddy's day parties. Take care and we hope to see all of you out there.
