It's Bryan's first entry on the band website!
As long-time FinTan fans know, 2007 was a year of change for FinTan. But life goes on - and FinTan is showing its strength.
The current lineup is our strongest yet. The new sound gelled over the early part of the year and it shows at FinTan's performances - the excitement level of the audience is really picking up! We ROCKED the St. Patty's Long Weekend with packed crazy appearances at Molly Malone's (Saturday night and Monday), Peach's and the Dublin Pub. That excitement carried over as FinTan expanded its geographical range with our Indiana weekend - a solid performance at Fionn MacCool's and another packed crazy event at O'Bryan's Nine Irish Brothers.
This momentum continued through FinTan's appearance last night at our home in Cincinnati, Molly Malone's. The place was deserted when we arrived to set up (I was able to park on the street right in front of the door at 6 pm) but by 8:30 all the tables were full as people arrived to catch FinTan's "un-trad-ictable" sound. And throughout the night, whenever someone left, the table was immediately filled by other folks. The house was still full when we finished a little after midnight!
We're LOVIN the attendence at our performances and the comments we get from both the audience and management of the establishments. Every time we perform, someone comments that our sound has improved. They note that our energy level is higher, the interaction between band members and with the audience is better and the sound is tighter and better balanced. The excitement is building and YOU are part of it! We can't do this alone - your support is making this possible and we really appreciate it!
This Saturday, 4/26, FinTan performs again at Fionn MacCool's in Fishers (northeast Indianapolis). An easy location to get to, great food, and always a good time!
