Fintan at the Ohio Rennaissance Festival 2007 comes to a close. We're tired but happy and we made some great new friends.

Whew! We are worn out but very happy with our three weekends at the Ohio Ren Fest. Thanks again to Kelly for having us. Having three weekends to play this year really gave us time to get to know the other performers. We had a great time hanging with Silent Lion, Bob Ford and the Ragamuffins and the New Minstrel Revue. The weather was great and so were the crowds as we played and played and played. We have a new appreciation for the groups that do all 8 weekends and being tired out after just 3 makes us like festival lightweights just a little. But we had a lot of fun and enjoyed being around such a great bunch of people for 3 glorious weekends. The new sound seemed to go over well and in addition to Karen, Bryan, Phil and myself, Larry's pipes and Tamara's bass really added new dimension to the music. Everyone at the festival was just terrific and I think we made a lot of new friends and fans of the Fintan sound.

Hopefully we'll be back at the festival next year. But for now, we're headed into a six week band break (November through mid December) to learn some new tunes and get back into the studio to record new material and some old songs that we've reworked. Keep an eye out for more announcements on the new material.
